So here we just mounted the backplate, we see that the two heatsinks are nicely mounted secure. Now we insert the two supplied power connectors. One 6-pin and one 8-pin. Surprisingly enough the 8-pin header ends in a 6-pin connector. Not the most clever choice to make Artic Cooling, not at all. The 8-pin header allows 150 Watt of current while a six pin header is designed for 75 Watt. This somewhat weird choice might actually hinder overclocking.

At this stage we also mount the rest of the thermal pads onto the eight front side memory chips.

We are now near the stage where we can mount the heatsink. See that blue stuff? Remove it, it's a thin plastic protection layer. Don't touch the thermal paste though.

Here we carefully position the Accelero XTREME cooler on top of the GPUs and the final result is slowly coming into eye-sight.
